Brand Identity Redesign Website 2017
Concept
This is a rebranding project for the Limburg Nature and Landscape Trust based in the south of the Netherlands. Founded in 1931 it is a long-established institution in the Dutch region of Limburg and therefore the design makes references to the traditions and history of the trust and the area. The logo shows a nightingale singing on the branch of an oak tree which is inspired by the Limburg regional anthem. This is a reinterpretation of the old logo which was given a more contemporary look by following similar motives. The colours chosen for this project are the green of oak leaves and the purple of heather which is typical for Limburg. Gold was chosen for the lettering to symbolise the sun shining through oak leaves and heather. The font HK Serif is used to further enhance the classical element while maintaining a modern look.
