It's every designer's favorite last minute, ad hoc request- FACEBOOK ASSETS! During my time at Native Commerce I've done more Facebook profile pictures and banners than I can or care to remember. After several hundred generic, 'on brand' and aesthetically pleasing banners for dozens of our brands there was something I tried that really stood out - putting neatly organized and pertinent information into the cover photo.

When a cover photo was changed, it would push an updated into our loyal followers' news feeds and they'd check it out and choose whether or not to participate in whatever we had going on at the time ( usually really good contests for lead acquisition ). We saw as much as a 25% boost in engagement when running these cover photos and it was a veritable boon. Soon after we also started incorporating imagery of our latest shop offerings driving further traffic to our stores and pages turning a previously overlooked, free spot on our brand pages into effective sources of traffic.
