Pen printer
This project was created during a course of Professor Holger Jacobs. In the first part each student was asked to produce a machine that can write, scribble or produce any form of trace. Typography in it’s widest definition. Readability was irrelevant. Following this concept, in the second part every student was asked to design a poster, using the accidental results produced by the machine as a basis. The text was given and only one typeface (Helvetica) was allowed. To build the machine I used an old not working inkjet printer and added pens to the print-head.
