OBX Beach Access Website
The Challenge:
The Outer Banks – a narrow strip of barrier islands in North Carolina – is comprised of over 100 miles of shore line on both the ocean side and the sound side. There are beach access points all along this long stretch, but a clear, user-friendly resource was needed to help visitors and residents navigate and select which beach access to use.
The Solution:
Initially a logo needed to be designed, incorporating color and graphics with the summer season and beach in mind. Once the logo was established, it translated into the look of the new website and all marketing materials. With over a year in the making, shooting hundreds of photos, creating interactive maps, and compiling an enormous data bank of amenities – this comprehensive, user-friendly website was born. This site includes photo sliders, amenities for each access, lifeguard stations, interactive maps, tides, weather, and wind information. It is a top-ranking searched site on the Outer Banks, NC.
