'' Slum Architecture''

One such project I had undertaken previously, was of ‘The Slums of Mumbai’. While photographing these sites, I realised deeper theories than compositions.

Most of the slum areas here are illegal. So the government demolishes these sites, but this does not affect the will of these people. These humans build their homes again, which is later again taken down by the government, and this goes on and on.

A home built by putting together bricks of emotions loses its legality, its value and turns into a piece of land just in a matter of time; how strange is it!
Sometime ago, the construction which was legal turns illegal and is demolished. The physical built is destroyed, gets into pieces, but memories stay still.
And this is how change persists in the society.

The ability to see things as they are and not as you think they are is one of the most important things I have learned through experiences.
