Taking inspiration from looking at automotive brochures with slick photography used to help the brand sell their vehicles, I set off in C4D to see what kind of cool lighting I could come up with. After purchasing this rad little NSX model off the net, I started with a really minimal, dark studio set on wet concrete. I was looking to build structural objects to put the car in, so I used XPresso to build a helper to lend me a hand in quickly jamming out various looks. The system made it easy to adjust pillar height and width along with lighting and other helpful tweaks. This all helped in the end to change the look of the structure really fast and easy.
