Operational Intelligence
The speed of innovation in government today is astonishing compared with where the public sector was even a few years ago. In order to meet needs and rising demands, government IT has turned to the cloud, virtualization and complex data centers.
The Story
This project began as an internal pilot program to gauge interest in videos that would be distributed accompanying a sponsored product for promotional use – for both the sponsor and GovLoop. The pilot was a success, paving the way for a new additional product offering in GovLoop's portfolio.
The video's design was informed by the product for which is was created: a guide covering operational intelligence in government. We decided to maintain the clean look of the line art and iconography while making sure there was always visual interest despite the amount of negative space created by the line art. The pacing was also a critical because the information is presented fairly quickly, so making sure we hit the beats on transitions that worked with the voiceover was crucial to keeping the video engaging.
