I was commissioned by the most prestigious Hungarian literature publisher, Magvető Kiadó, to design the covers for the 2017 editions of their annually released contemporary Hungarian prose and poetry anthologies called Körkép (first published in 1964) and Szép versek (first published in 1963). Since 1964 the books have always been published in pairs.

I wanted to create something simple, classical with a modern overtone, and add “physical human touch” to the design. Except the typography and the barcodes the whole cover is hand-drawn and scanned in at full size.
