Wines of Portugal - The brand / A marca

Wines of Portugal is an entity created by the need to promote portuguese wines abroad responding, simultaneously, to a growing demand for quality products.

Based on the origin of wines in Portugal and the relation between wine culture and the life and customs of local people, Wines of Portugal began to act as an ambassador of portuguese wines in the world.

Wines of Portugal é uma entidade nascida da necessidade de promover os vinhos portugueses no estrangeiro respondendo, simultaneamente, a uma procura crescente por produtos de qualidade.

Tendo por base a origem dos vinhos em Portugal e a correlação entre a cultura vinícola e a vida e costumes do povo, a marca Wines of Portugal passou a agir como embaixador dos vinhos portugueses no mundo.

For this campaign I sought inspiration from Portuguese History, marked by maritime discoveries and a long tradition in wine production.The caravel replicas within bottles were also relevant in the creative process.

This way I presented the discovery of the country through its wines, trying to convey the idea that the aroma of various castes allows people to meet new portuguese regions, their cultures and flavors.

The image represents the winemaking art in association to what were the successful portuguese maritime discoveries in the XV century.

Para esta campanha procurei inspiração na História de Portugal, um país marcado pelas descobertas marítimas e com uma longa tradição na produção de vinhos. As réplicas de caravelas dentro de garrafas foram igualmente relevantes no processo de construção da imagem para esta comunicação.

Espelhei assim a descoberta do país, das suas tradições e experiências através dos seus vinhos, procurando transmitir a ideia de que os aroma das várias castas permitem conhecer novas regiões e culturas, além de novos sabores.

A imagem obtida representa precisamente a mestria na arte de fazer vinhos de excelência em associação ao que foi uma campanha de sucesso como as descobertas marítimas portuguesas por novos mundos.
