LIGHT STITCH CHAIR
Designer: Jiho
Product Type: Furniture
Personal project
Inspired by a photo taken whilst passing a tunnel, I wanted to express as if light was being threaded through.
Using open form design I strived to show the sharp contrast between light and material.

Prototype
Personally printing CAD and design plans and creating a paper version beforehand, I repeatedly edited my design.
By using a 1:1 sized paper vision, I designed the product for modification to be possible for different users.
-
Manufacturing
By using laser to cut steel plates, we assembled the aluminum rivet together.
-
I used 2.5mm aluminium rivet. It is easy to assemble by hands.
-
User test
I strived for the user to feel wrapped by the product, ensuring a more comfortable experience as he/she leaned backward.
