The architectural object is situated in the Shevchenko Park in Dnipro, the construction site is a hill near the existing recreation complex – the observation deck. The proposed solution was developed to complement the functionality of existing recreational area and to accomplish the steep hill in the profitable way. The solution itself was achieved not by the typical steep steps (that would exclude the platforms for recreational purposes) and greening. Our solution was more specific: it included public space, greening, strengthening of the hill and another observation deck that provides a very beautiful and stunning view on the city.

Now about the technical characteristics: the main material is white concrete, one’s fabrication is performed in the factory, by accomplishing the formwork. Once it’s done the concrete is transported to the construction site and all that’s left to do is to install it to the right place. The lightning is divided into three groups: lightning of the steps, lightning under the sitting places and the lightning under the hinged beams. Beams include the space to place the LED strip lights. They’re placed in the plastic tube to create the long strips of ribbon illumination. We also suggest to cover them with the strained glass to create the effect of seamless beam.
