Scream of Nature...? Where?   
Munch: "I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color shrieked. This became The Scream".

I've always painted on canvas, but with Kyle's new Munch brushes I thought I would give this a try – and am totally blown away – you can do it all on the iPad Pro too. Kyle's brushes are the reason I will gladly switch to digital painting - it will serve the same function as lithos and etching did for Munch. Thanks Kyle and Adobe!!

For my version of the fifth Scream I asked myself what overwhelming 'scream' would have moved Munch today...? The 'scream passing through nature' would be harder to hear anymore ;-). So my 'Scream 5' has lost its mouth and is trying to hear any remnants of nature still 'whispering' around him.

I tried to stay true to his style of painting and composition, on the one hand out of respect and conceptual integrity, and on the other hand to make the change in nature more focused by keeping the fundamentals the same. I hope it worked. :-))
