Telegraph Hill Conference Room Illustration Film

I was commissioned to design a pattern film to increase the privacy of this big meeting room located on the first floor of Adobe San Francisco office. It's on the side of a popular hallway where a lot of people walk by during the day, the scene could be really distractive for the people in the conference room when there are people passing by.

Interestingly, the conference room is named after a famous spot in SF called Telegraph Hill. I decided to draw an abstract illustration based on the actual scene. In order to provide another layer of division, our amazing workplace strategist Lacey Engelke suggested to print the illustration on stained vinyl, so it will completely blur out the vision in the room.

Seriously, this is what I got after I finished the illustration, in order to clean up the final result to print, I had to clean all the lines outside the shapes, and match all the anchor points T_T... The whole cleaning process took longer than drawing the illustration.
The hidden Monkey
It is what I believe that design doesn't have to be serious all the time, a hidden pun or a small surprise might make people smile.
Also, it'd be fun for the people in the meeting room find out there is a "starring" monkey when they get bored in the meeting ( come on, we all had that moment, haha)
