The aim of this project was creating a contemporary version of a traditional book, focusing on the general plot or an idea behind it. I chose Dumbo and the world of proportions, and created an ode to diversity by collecting a big number of ears, in the widest sense of the concept, gradually sorted from small to large, growing their space on paper, to emphasize the intention of the speech.
On a formal level, the book is presented with a clean aesthetic, inspired by the visual structucture and design of encyclopaedias and traditional scientific publications, shown on the font chosen, Mrs Evans.
The summary specifies the main features of each item, concentrating all the text of the book in it.
To give more dynamism to the publication, funny facts about ears were included every ten ears.
