Je me suis intéressée à une période comprise entre 1700 et 1895, avec pour propriété principale que ces objets n’utilisaient pas l’électricité pour fonctionner. Il est remarquable de constater avec quel précision ces œuvres ont traversé le temps. J’ai donc voulu comprendre pourquoi nous construisions de telles machines et ce qu’elles nous apportaient. Puis j’ai comparé ces réponses à nos mécaniques actuelles.
My dissertation is about the study of different works that use basic mechanisms in order to trigger illusion.
I have decided to focus on a period going from 1700 to 1895, with the main idea that these objects didn't need electricity to work. It is remarkable to notice how well these works have withstood the test of time. Therefore, I wanted to find out why we were building these machines and what they were bringing us.
Then I compared these answers with today's mechanics.

Pour illustrer mon propos, j’ai appliqué un petit mécanisme sur la couverture qui permet de faire apparaître le titre du mémoire, mon nom et un sigle. Ces informations ont été gravées au laser, et la découpe réalisée à la découpeuse laser de l’Atelier des Bricoleurs à Lille.
In order to illustrate my statement, I put a small mechanism on the cover, which allows the dissertation title to appear with my name and a logo. These informations were engraved with a laser, and the cut was made with the laser slitter from the Atelier des bricoleurs in Lille.
Le mémoire est en format 20x20 cm, imprimé en quadri, avec deux couleurs principales: le noir et le doré.
Le livre contient 100 pages. La structure du livre est réalisée en contreplaqué de peuplier.
The thesis is in 20x20 cm format, printed in quadri, with two main colors: black and gold.
The book contains 100 pages. The book structure is made in poplar plywood.
