Projekt jest innowacyjny poprzez świeże spojrzenie na elektryczny piec akumulacyjny. Portland jest ekonomicznym rozwiązaniem ogrzewania mieszkania lub domu. Wykorzystuje dwustrefową taryfę dostarczania energii. Identyfikując potrzeby użytkownika w,erze smart domów zaproponowano inteligentne rozwiązanie sterujące. System sterowania grzejnikiem za,pomocą aplikacji pozwalającej włączyć lub zmienić czas nagrzewania z,dowolnego miejsca.
The project is innovative due to the original approach to the electric termal storage. Portland is the economical solution for the need of house or flat heating. It utilizes the charge for the two-zone supply of heating. Meeting the needs of the modern users in the Smart House era the inteligent operating solution was applied. The software appication based operating system allows for switching on or changing the time of heating from any possible place.
Wykorzystany materiał akumulujący ciepło, pozwala obniżyć koszt produkcji w stosunku do tradycyjnych magnetytowych bloczków, a,dekoracyjny charakter zachęca do zabudowy większych powierzchni zwiększając tym samym efektywność jego działania.
The material used for the heat accumulation allows to reduce the manufacturing costs in contrast with the traditional magnetite blocks and the decorative character encourages to furnish wider space which also enhances the efficiency of the heater.
Zaletą systemu jest możliwość rozszerzania grzejnika o,dowolną ilość modułów, dostosowując go do powierzchni mieszkania. Niskotemperaturowy zakres pracy grzejnika umożliwia bezpieczne poruszanie sięw,jego pobliżu oraz na powolnei,równomierne oddawania ciepła w,całym okresie dziennej droższej taryfy elektrycznej.
The system's merit is the possibility of the extension of the heater by adding any number of extra modules and adapting it to the apartment's surface. The low-temperature work range of the heater makes the close and nearby area safe for staying or moving around and allows for the slow, even and balanced heat emission throughout the whole more expensive day time charge for the supply of electrisity.

Aby sprawdzić trafność zaproponowanych rozwiązań, zostały wykonane prototypy betonowych kafli.
To verify the accuracy of the proposed solutions the prototypes of the concrete tiles were manufactured.
