This is one of the many logos I created from scratch for a church group that I did volunteer work for! This logo is for the ark kids' ministry. The ark comes from the biblical tale of Noah's ark, and being that this logo was being designed for children I wanted to make it fun and kid-friendly. The logo as a whole is like a picture if you scan from left to right. It is of an elephant shooting a water-letter 'K'  from its trunk. I went with an elephant because it's one of the more recognizable creatures that boarded Noah's ark, also because the children's ministry in itself is a rather larger, elephant-sized ministry. I decided that colors should be fun, but not too much. Grey for the letter 'R' would be boring, so i went with a closer in tone purple, and being that purple goes well with gold, I picked out a not too shiny gold and lighter blue for the water.
Metro Singles is a singles ministry within the church that has events for single people. Being that this is an organization within the church I decided to incorporate a cross somewhere in the logo, and that somewhere just so happens to be the lowercase letter 't' which in itself looks like a cross. I went with the grey color because I felt like since these are adults here, the colors don't have to be wild and crazy, so I went with a tame and mellow shade of grey.
Project Purpose is a kid's ministry within the Ark Kid's ministry. It falls underneath the kids' ministry. I went for a simplistic, yet colorful logo as it is for children a little older than 7. I went and underlined purpose because I felt like it needed to be shown that purpose is the focus. I added a crown to convey that these kids' lives mean something and that they are of importance. I placed the crown over the letter 'O' because it is the closest letter in the alphabet that resembles a head.
Project 31 is another group that falls under the kids' ministry, except this division is for young girls. I used a rustic paintbrush because something about this particular name gave me a sense of power. I chose tones of pink as young girls admire that color. So the rustic and softness elements of the logo are almost like an oxymoron, but i love how they come together so well.
Project Timothy is a division underneath the kids' ministry that welcomes young boys to it's group. The letter 'J' is styled to look like a fishing hook because I was advised to do so as Timothy is associated somewhat with fishing. I drew out the tail of the letter 'P' to match up with the letter 'T' that is stylized as a cross. I wrote timothy within the 'P' & 'T' to show a sense of protection as these young boys are mentored by men who want to protect and nurture these young boys.
Young church is the last of the logos and is the youngest child division, so I really had a blast going crazy with the colors, but I made sure to re-use most of the from the word 'young' so the logo looks like it works together. I used a chalk paintbrush because it screams childish and fun!
Lonser Squad is a personal logo that I created for a t-shirt design in mind. The overall idea itself is an oxymoron, but has a sense of unity of lonely-minded people and that lonely doesn't have to be bad.
You may recognize this logo from the 'Print' album. This is the logo by itself. I wanted the design to be fun, and I literally took it there. The event was for high schoolers to celebrate the end of the school year. I had a lot of fun making it funky but keeping the logo color a basic black as I used a summer-ish hue for the other elements of the poster.
This is a branding logo I designed for a men's clothing boutique. The very first thing I came up with was a bowtie as when I think of high-end men's clothes I think of a nice bowtie to accompany a suit and dress shoes. The colors black and white has always been an exemplary color pairing, and it's the first two colors that come to mind when i think of 'suit and tie'.
This is a logo design that was assigned to me in one of my college classes. I has so much fun with this concept from sketching to finish. I went with black and white to keep it simple, and I added letters from the Greecian alphabet to spell out Medusa.
This is a branding logo that i designed from a client who was working on a food truck business. A food truck is mobile, and box-like, and it houses food, so I decided to take it there literally, but jazz it up to make it fun and appealing. The colors red, orange, and yellow are proven by a study to make people hungry, so I incorporated two of those colors as the idea is to eat.I have food sticking out of the top as they are  few items that are available on the menu. As far as stacking the logo on top of one another, I went about doing that because the words had about the same length of letters and ended up looking good together. 'Munch' is the only word in red as the whole idea is to eat, and it serves as a focal point for being the only red word as well as having a bite out of the letter 'U'.
This is a branding logo I designed for a local client. Her business sells hats and t-shirts among other items, and when I read the name 'Humble Pie' was the name of her business my brain went 1,000 miles a minute with ideas galore. It would be nonsensical to not incorporate a pie somewhere within the logo, so I ended up making it the focal point and using the perspective tool to type the words' Humble' and 'Pie' out on the inside of the ooey-gooey dripping cherry pie.
Here is what I called a 'logo menu' of pie designs to choose from. All the same idea and make-up, but different options in terms of color. Compared to the finished logo that can be found above this illustration, these are just concepts that, once one was chosen, can be further refined and completed.
