The Nike Women's Marathon was an ideal event for Safeway to become involved with. It created a dynamic, engaging activation that reached more than 24,000 of our core target consumers. It was an incredible event, and we did a great job of making the involvement relevant, integrating the brand with the culture of the event and maximizing Safeway's investment.

The Nike Women’s Marathon takes place in San Francisco every October. 20,000 women take to the streets of the city, running either a full or half marathon. Safeway seized the opportunity to partner with Nike. During four days, Safeway engages with runners, their families and their friends through multiple touchpoints.
