Reel Gardening's Groweez
For this campaign, I had to find creative ways to create "cute" vegetable monsters with the client's character examples in mind. The client wanted simple and vibrant 2D characters with enough depth to make them interesting. They provided examples of the design direction they preferred. I focused on creating individual characters even from vegetables that traditionally appear in groups (peas, green beans, basil and rocket leaves). These characters were by far the most challenging in the drafting phase. The lettuce was specifically meant to be an iceberg lettuce and the spinach is a Ford Hook Giant spinach.
