Inspired by the lyrics of David Bowie's "Valentine's Day" and The Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays", this piece comments upon the evident casual nature we adopt in acclimatising our children to gun violence.  The work consists of drawings and doodles produced by my daughter which were then fixed to the canvas and worked on top of.
