HAVEN 3D PRINTED ALIAS MODEL
A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to work with a student from the RCA vehicle design course to create a 3D model in Alias of his final project. The project is called Haven and focuses on mental health, the design and concept were entirely made by Sam Philpott, please check his website if you want more information about the design process.
"HAVEN aims to help improve the mental wellbeing of young people working in city environments through integrated vehicle, architecture, service and healthcare design. It’s a fully autonomous electric car and, using NHS guidance, the interior architecture crafts spaces for mindfulness and interaction, initiating two of the biggest steps towards mental wellbeing."
This was a great experience to practice my digital modeling skills and create data to be 3D printed, I had to think about the structure of the model, material thickness and how each piece could be assembled once 3D printed.
