Project Description: Our design for these photographs was to place Grad at Grad traits within photos using a simple legible font and integrate them as a part of the landscape. We wanted to relate each Grad at Grad trait to a landscape outside of Brophy as Brophy is typically the only place in which these traits are displayed in Brophy media.Sketches:

Design Decisions: We used the Futura font because we wanted simple, geometric text to contrast the background in each picture. We chose landscape pictures that related to each Grad at Grad trait either blatantly or abstractly. In the Religious picture, we covered the word with fog to make it seem like it was on the mountain. In the Open to Growth picture, we put lava over the words to make them seem to be part of the rock. In the Intellectually Competent picture, we made the words seem to be a part of the sky by placing them behind the hill. In the Loving picture, we saw the pink sky as a symbol of love, and positioned the word seemingly behind the mountain. In the Committed to Doing Justice picture, we used the image of windmills as a symbol for ecological justice and clean energy.
