The Odyssey and The Iliad

My books are designed as more like art books instead the old visions of The Odyssey and The Iliad.
I made very simple color and design decisions.
I cut color papers into the shapes that I want – waves and soldier
hammer. I also still want to remain the texture of the papers, so I
intentionally added some scratches and wavy eects. en I scanned
them onto my laptop.
For the back of e Odyssey, it has a little moon shaped boat on it
representing Odysseus’s journey. For the back of e Iliad, it’s a small
re burning representing the wars.
I chose to make a transparency jacket for my books and have the
typography sets on it instead of having it on the actual book. I want to
create the contrast between the title information with the graphic so I
chose bright pink and green.
