Cymatics is largely unknown branch of visual science that shows the visual interactions of waveforms. It was pioneered by Ernst Chladni in 1787 and during the mid 20th century it resurfaced with the experiments by german scientist Hans Jenny. My exposure to the documentation helped me to understand that music is nothing but vibrations and waves but also inspired me to create a series of posters to market a faux event at a real location.
