This project is my attempt to interpret and visualize the ways different cultures perceive time. I've always been interested in the idea of time and why it exists, and after digging into the subject I realized that time is not necessarily an existing dimension , but a matter of perspective, it could be just a way we make sense of why we are now and not before. In this project I chose time interpretations of four different cultures, linear (western), cyclic (agricultural), central African, and a tribe in the amazon called the “Piraha” tribe. I wanted to create my images by having certain elements that would be used to translate the different ways those cultures view time, using a chain of elements that would imply the sequence-ness of time.
