This publication was designed as a celebration of Eileen Shamy’s book, ‘More than Body, Brain and Breath’. The aim of this book is to promote and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with a holistic and spiritual element. One of my main objectives is to provide carers, family and friends with support and guide them through the journey when someone close to them is first diagnosed. The treatment of the typography underpins the concept through layers of tracing paper used to reflect how memory in a person with Alzheimer’s disease is fading or clouding. This book design was submitted for the ISTD Student Assessment and was awarded membership.
