Astrid (Paper sculpture and light installation)

In the year 2250, the world has become so polluted that every sparkle of light has disappeared from the sky. Not wanting to leave to her niece a world devoid of stars, grandma Astrid decided to fix her old bicycle and test her new invention, floating lightbulbs filled with a mixture of ultra-light gas. Thus, every night, Astrid flies through the empty sky, filling the world and her niece's eyes with new light and hope.
