Life of a Spoon
This was a school project that I have revisited. The goal of the project was to photograph the life of something or someone. I decided to look at the life of an object...a spoon to be precise.

I tried to find as many ways as possible that a spoon can be used, and to see where a spoon goes during the day. I knew that I wanted this project to be a Black and White project, and as I started editing the files I decided to add in some tone mapping to bring out parts of the photographs. To get the look I wanted I also had to use compositing to get the image I wanted in the end.
The spoon reflection image, reflection image above and the medicine administration image below are all composites of other image taken for this project. In the case of the image below, it is a composite of 8 different images and the medicine in the spoon was created by me in Photoshop. The spoon was originally empty.
In order for this medicine image to work I also had to use image selections to non-destructively cut out parts of images.
