Aviemore Housing Typology

This project is a study into high density housing typologies where the residents can enjoy the spaces outside of their dwellings.  The scheme clusters units around a series of defensible courtyards and creates density by allowing the residents to use their roofs which look over a central space that is shared between the block.

The project began with a series of styrofoam massing models that explored the arrangements of the units:
