Brief Summary

Daniel approached me to design a website and branding. Currently working as a studio photographer he wanted to branch out and include some freelancing jobs within his spare time. He asked for a brand that was strong and had an impact, but could also sit next to his photography and let his images do the talking.

Brief Outcome

With the logo I was aiming for a symbol that could be put next to his name but also stand on its own to save on space. I created a bold monogram combining Daniel's initials together and editing this in illustrator to achieve good readability. I wanted to make the mark as simple as possible so that clients would be able to remember it later down the line. I used a simple monochrome palate for colour. I believed this was best, as when used next to his photography there would be no chance of colours clashing and removing clients' attention away from the images.

I designed and coded a unique website which heavily focused on keeping the images as large as possible whilst retaining an easy user interface for clients that may not be technically inclined. This is a fully responsive website using Bootstrap, JQuery, Javascript and a small amount of PHP. I taught myself how to use these in order to create the site that I believed would be best for Daniel. I also created a business card that I put to print and stationary ideas that he could use in the future if needed.
