Cif Bottle Redesign
This project is a result of a 2nd year assignment I was given in College. The brief was to analyse and redesign any chosen product based on Usability and Aesthetics. I chose the Cif Bottle as my product as I feel many detergent bottles are very similar in form and usability and thus an improvement in these aspects would creater genuine value for the product.
My main inspiration for this redesign came from the Alessi juicer.

This video was made from a 3d solidworks model of the bottle and the various effects throughout the video were added on Adobe After Effects.
Sketches and Renders
I started this project with a sketch based analysis of the bottle along with a comparison to other competitors solutions. This was what led to my understanding of the large similarities in the form and function of the Cif Bottle when compared to competitors solutions.
I was then inspired by the Alessi juice squeezer to redesign the bottle as a product that could be proudly displayed in the form of an imitation vase.

The next task was to compile this information into 2 boards that would enable a viewer to get a quick summation of the project.
In order to assess the practicality of this redisgn I decided to compare it with the Cif bottle under various headings such as weight and volume.
