I n C o l d B l o o d
by Truman Capote
— Got a 'Highly Commended'
In representing the novel and avoiding cliches, the notion of ‘travel’ presented a less obvious theme to explore. The notion of travel features frequently throughout the book – in that the characters are constantly on the move, either the killers on the run or the police hunting them.
By covering the entire cover in stamps featuring the American flag, I wanted it to represent the American citizens in this story — being a true story about real people. One stamp appears slightly different to the others with its flag half-mast — representing the Clutter family and a subtly sinister reference to the murders that form the book.
— Thanks for watching.
