“21 grams” is a magazine designed under the general theme of going through a journey. The concept is based on using classic literature of Dante as well as the philosophical approaches of Carl Jung to illustrate a mental instability that a person can go through.
This project was a group effort; I handled the first chapter, titled “Crisis”, which centers around Dante’s “Inferno” as well as depression – the reason why red is prominent, in addition to illustrating the images with watercolors that represent the titles in each spread.
