Great Cleveland Food Bank Annual Report
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. The organization seeks to bridge the meal gap in North East Ohio, by connecting individuals with the nutritious meals they need to succeed. In my Advanced Typography class I reworked their annual report to have a more cohesive and user friendly design. Considering the food bank’s non-profit status, I was cautious of color images, and chose to use mostly duo-toned photography to save money. I also was intentional in breaking up spreads that have a lot of type, with spreads that were photo heavy. Hierarchy of type was important to the process as well, as I wanted to make this information dense, multi-spread document easy to read and understand. My intention was to take a large, information heavy document and turn it into something interesting and fun to interact with for the reader.
