It well may be that a visit to the Vilnius art fair will not help you find an answer to the question. However, it is definitely sure to prompt another string of questions as to what art – not only the contemporary kind – is in general. Covering an area of 15,000 square metres, the venue offers a display of a diversity of styles, techniques and genres. While a huge part of the works seem to be a repetition of things already seen, some artists’ takes on ‘the familiar’ are nevertheless a sight for sore eyes.
