I have always been interested by war history especially World War II and the Cold War. I initially wanted to work on either one as I knew there would be an abundant of resources available to me. However, during my research for statistics and facts, I realized that there were already a number and variety of infographics on wars.
This was when I turned my attention to the Chernobyl disaster involving a nuclear plant in USSR during the Cold War. There was very little work done for the Chernobyl incident. I saw this as a challenge to compile all the information of what had actually happened, the causes and the effects of the radioactive fallout, into a simple infographic poster.
