LABOR [ Z ]
an experiment about the visual perception of space.
Graphic elements in motion
moving in X-, Y- and Z-Axis, reflected by mirrors into the room, create different depths - an immersive interplay of real and illusion.
Labor Z was designed to show the simple beauty of basic graphical elements and to blur the line between 2D and 3D in creating an immersive spatial experience.
The setting of the LABOR [Z]
is an installation self-test to explore the perception threshold of the 2nd and 3rd dimension, by using the basic principles of spatial perception.
Everything needed was a dark room, a projector and a mirror. A video loop of graphical elements in motion (created with Cinema 4D) were projected half on a wall and half on the installed mirror, which reflected the choreography into the room, what created a three-dimensional spatial experience for the visitors.
