This third year group assignment involved designing a visual identity for the end of year Grad Show. One group would be chosen to continue developing the identity. This was part of my contribution, including a secondary colour option. The task was to develop and pitch our concept to the class for voting. 

Rationale: The concept ‘Illuminate’ plays on the visual aspect of ‘Visual Communication Design’ where the design illuminates the audience to new idea, or way of looking at something. It is also a significant part of the design process; that moment of illumination when you come up with the idea, like a light bulb moment. To play on this concept of light and illumination we chose to use bright, fluorescent-like colours. 

Note: The eye image was sourced from Google (then edited to monotone colour), and the examples of student works came from Pinterest for the purposes of the mockups.
