We believe everyone has the experience of using an eye drop, according to our observation, most people suffer from the following issue:
1. The lack of experience using the product, unable to drop the medical liquid accurately into the eye.
2. The sense fear of being accrued by the sharp shape of dropper head.
Problems above makes it difficult to operate the dropper, especially to children and the elderly. In order to make the operation process a pleasant experience, we re-think the packaging design and the way it is operated.

Kalos-eye drops is a combination of eye drops and kaleidoscope, the new design includes a bottle with kaleidoscope pattern inside, and a assist tube to help user aim easier. When using, the user can see the kaleidoscope pattern inside the bottle, at the same time, a certain quantitative of medical liquid will drop by rotating the bottle. The user will be distracted by the transformation of kaleidoscope pattern and complete the process unwittingly.

For children, using the eye drop makes them feel psychologically afraid. To solve this problem, our design distracts them by the transformation of kaleidoscope pattern, enhance the accuracy of position, and changes the bottle form and inner structure of tradition eye drop. The solution makes the form less boring and to be closer to the people.

Regarding the product life cycle, considering the curiosity of children, if the patterns inside the bottle stays the same, it will decrease their interest and the identification, Therefore we use different pattern on different eye drop bottles.
The next step of design might consider using 3D visual effect on the pattern, to add addition amusing effect to the product.
