GOGI, Georgian restaurant

Gogi — is a friendly place with traditional Georgian cuisine. Choosing the place format the owners were trying to avoid the usual restaurant pathos and adhere to warm guest atmosphere and good food, following the traditions of Georgian hospitality.

LOGO

Getting inspiration before the start we have searched for picturesque Georgian landscapes, traditional clothing, khachapuri with red Georgian wine and Georgian music at a maximum volume. The starting point for the concept was the Mimino movie (quite popular during the soviet times), and the images of its main characters.

After several sketching variants we finally have found our own Georgian friend Gogi with the typical mustache, extraordinary facial features and the “aerodrome”-cap, a very “mandatory” accessory. He has immediately gained our team sympathy and then the client’s.

PROMO-MATERIALS

Right before the opening night we accidentally (really accidentally) came up with a very funny slogan “nakhinkalymosia?” (this totally invented word is a mixture of Ukrainian/Georgian languages and mainly means “shouldn’t we eat a lot of khinkali?”) which right away took its honorable place on the walls and on the staff uniform and also served as a basis for the street advertising board near the restaurant.

MENU

At the beginning, when the place was running in the test mode, a lot of dishes and bar items were changing quite often we have faced the task to think about the Menu format with easily changing sheets. We have designed the long lasting pads with the special fixing mechanism allowing changing easily all necessary pages.
The Menu concept has become very successful esthetically and functionally that’s why from temporary solution it became permanent and is still in use.

BOUTIQUE

When you enter the restaurant you’ll see the mini-boutique selling spices, sauces, tinctures made at the place and also the best Georgian wines. For all that goodies we have designed the special labels with the product name and the expiration date, peculiar restaurant “excise stamps”, wine bottles packaging and of course discount cards for regular customers.

Thanks for watching!
