To Kill a Mockingbird
Design a new book cover for an Amarican classic. ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ is a novel by Harper Lee about the racial injustice and the destruction of innocence. The book won a Pulitzer Prize and has become a classic of modern American literature. The cover shows the story in a symbolic way and let the story speak.
The cover is made out of paper and photographed, the paper is used to give it the raw feeling and it suits the story better than a digital drawing. The white bird is taken over the place of the black one and the white space on the front is bigger, this represents the racial segregation. On the back the black space is bigger to show that the black people should have the same rights as the white. The colour yellow is chosen as a warning colour.
