The Monopoly board game is a microcosm for the socioeconomic class systems in a democratic, capitalist society. The Monopoly board game is actually anti-capitalist-- it is meant to teach people the perils of large businesses getting too large and powerful, reinforcing the theme and underlying cynical tone about the evils of capitalism in my exhibition.

This dress was inspired by Gary Harvey, who designed dressed made from recycled materials. His fashion pieces were a statement for excessive consumption.
