Matilda Cover Design
For the midterms of my Typography class, we were tasked to design two books according to different styles and eras. The first book I chose was Matilda, since it's a book I grew up with and is very close to my heart. I do not claim ownership over the book. All rights go to Roald Dahl.
First, I created a Classical design for Matilda based on old-style books, drawing from Victorian-era aesthetics.
Then, I created a Modern design, almost like the kind of thing you would find in bookstores nowadays.
Lastly, I created a postmodern design for the book, how it would look like if it didn't follow standard conventions.
