This work surface has two different desk heights: one at a regular desk height of 30" and the other end raises up to a bar height at 42". The desk height side has depth for two users as well as integrated 24" high, two shelf bookshelves that serve as dividers between the users on both sides and a lower 12" deep shelf that is angled which allows for easy reach of storage of personal belongings so that bags and jackets don't have to be hung on the chair behind the user. The 42" height bar side thins out to a single user depth and allows for another seating and working style. The bar side is half-cantilevered from the column that is also integrated into the design of the desk.
