Is it possible to contact one person of each nation in the world?
As an experiment about digital networks I ask all contacted people for a scan of their passport to collect the tiny ornaments on the document’s paper. Ornaments are transmitters of cultural identity: I will transfer them onto ceramic tiles to create a big floor mosaic, so it will be possible to walk on it, like the world was flat. All tiles are the same, but each different and beautiful on the surface.
To take part in the project, check out which countries I still need HERE. Ask your friends to take part or scan an empty visa double page on your own. Make sure to choose 800 dpi in the scanner’s settings. Send the file to passport.julia@outlook.com
