Microsoft Websummit Dublin 2015

With over 42,000 attendees from more than 134 countries, the 2015 Web Summit (Dublin) gave Microsoft the opportunity to showcase a selection of start-ups that found success by betting on the company. Working with an international team and focusing on start-ups and showcasing both the software and hardware available, the production design brief built with Pluto Events and Marketing solutions for the 2015 event was to reflect this.
Microsoft offered intimate IoT lab sessions with Microsoft experts along with treating attendees to pints of Guinness, frozen yogurt with various toppings and free social media profile photography throughout the three days. The stand employed scanalytics, a floor sensor technology and advanced dashboard reporting system which monitored and analysed foot traffic in real-time over the course of the event. Microsoft start-ups each had their own space with LED screens to showcase their products and highlight how they work with Microsoft to those in attendance. Start-ups included Von Bismark & Videobot.
Microsoft’s brief allowed a smooth process by specifying clear objectives for the whole project. Initial concepts where analysed, refining them until 3D modelled proposals where considered and initial renders were developed.
