Frank

RoomDope is a bulgarian initiative created by three designers: Georgi Stoyanov, Dimityr Peikov and Ivan Stoyanov. We believe in 21st century.

Frank is our first hacked chair. Originally it is an IKEA NORDMYRA chair which we bought from the local store. We decided that with just a little creativity we can turn a mass product into a boutique piece of art, which is one of a kind.
We call Frank an experiment.
A wooden Frankenstein.
It was pretty easy to work our way around the chair, because if its easy-disassemble-design. We wrapped each part with strips of paper tape following no logical geometric (if that is possible for a human being).
Then we have assembled it back to starting position and started painting the whole chair in my garrage. We wanted to "lock" all the parts together with the stripes of paint in a composition which is a whole!
As you may feel from the following photography, architects always strive for clean and pure interior spaces. Then there are the art pieces like photography and paintings on the walls....
Now, what if this art is at a reasonal price and is no more just 2D imagenery, but a piece of furniture, which only you have and can add a few colorful strokes to your room?
