CUSTOM WEDDING WINE LABELS
Kate & Sean had homemade wine bottled for their outdoor August wedding. I was asked to create a custom label incorporating owls for the special occasion. In a consultation with the bride and groom, we discussed colour palettes, mood, and inspiration. Their desired result was a design that was fun, elegant, and showed their personality as a couple.
COLOUR PALETTE & TYPOGRAPHY
After the initial discussion, we decided on a palette of summer whites, soft greys and warm browns. The bride requested teal and rosy corals as accents, in order to match the overall colour scheme. A playful typeface, with a hand drawn look and feel, was chosen to compliment the decor and the playful theme.
INSPIRATION
After researching a variety of styles, I developed various moodboards in order to confirm the bride and grooms desired look and feel. After defining a style, I began with rough sketches and from there started to build distinct characters. I wanted the characters to have individual personalities that complimented each other.... just like Sean & Kate!
Sean & Kate both thought the design was a hoot!
