Rebranding Gerontological Center of Guayaquil

 

The client
It was 4 months of working in this project that consist in redesign all the brand guideline of the Gerontological center ´´ Dr. Arsenio De La Torre Marcillo´´ of Guayaquil Ecuador.

The work
In the process of my carrer i was thinking to create a new brand but finally I decided to redesign a brand, new concepts, new values, missions and visions to the place, and I choose the Gerontological Center of Guayaquil, because the brand was obsolete and it didn´t work at all, the colors were wrong, and even their values was lost with the time.

Solution
All the work consists in chatting and interviews with the group of work of the Gerontological Center, to define the perfect identity to them. All the aplications was focus on their values like wellness and goodcare to the adults.

Inspiration
Sketches

It begins to realize a brainstorming,  to know with which elements is going to use for the project, and to show correctly their values and activities, and choose items like: house, elders, canes, home, welfare, tree leaves, summit of life, spaces in negative And protection.
Branding
In the process of creating the Imagotype, start from the begining of a tree transforming to an adult, that represents the olders of the Gerontological Center, protecting by a circle with the concept of protection that bring the Gerontological Center to the adults, and the concept of a tree, with the meaning of ´´ life goes on to them´´ to reach the value ´´Wellness´´.

Creating the person like an adult, and selecting the colors of the brand to show their values.
Starting from a round circle, to cover the adult, to show the protection that brings the Gerontological Center of Guayaquil to them, and the leaves using the concept of a tree.
Final result
The Imagotype is made up of the name of the Municipal Gerontological Center, made up of dry stick typographies and rounded endings. The isotype is the representation of an older adult reflecting fullness of life on a summit, managing to reflect the wellness and good treat. provided by the Municipal Gerontological Center.

Strategy
The strategy of redesign was to maintain the circular form of the previous logo, because it was positioned for a long time.
Brand Guidelines
The following guidelines are essentially a set of rules that explain how the Unifly brand works, including advices on usage of the Unifly logos, color, imagery, and fonts.

Stationary
In the process of aplications it made sure that every single product is consistent and relates to the brand nature of the Gerontological Center. The typography and the supporting graphics were carefully designed to provide a pleasant experience without sacrificing any of the other elements.
