Here is my second aerials illustration, this time of a talented woman on the lyra apparatus! This piece took me five hours, and I'm in love with it! I got to challenge myself in new ways with this piece, and I'm so pleased with the results.

This piece is based on a reference photo I took at a Dr. Sketchy's event in a local aerial studio. Any time I watch someone perform in silks, I am inspired to draw them - it's such a beautiful performance art! This silks pose is called the Butterfly. It took me about four hours.
